TSF trains World Vision to deploy emergency ICTs
From 29th to 30th March 2011 in Managua (Nicaragua), TSF trained 14 of the international NGO World Vision, in the use of emergency telecoms. Indeed, it was World Vision who requested TSF to carry out a simulation exercise, so that they could benefit from TSF’s extensive field experience.
Philippines: TSF reinforces the emergency response system
Within the framework of its capacity building program financed by the European Commission, TSF takes part in the development and reinforcement of the national emergency response system.The aim is to enhance the efficiency of rescue operations among the victims of natural disasters.

From 7th to 11th February 2011, the representatives of 22 emergency response organisations of Central and South Asia attended a one-week TSF training course in telecommunications and information technologies financed by the European Commission (ECHO).
Indonesia: TSF reinforces emergency response systems
On 25 October 2010, a devastating earthquake and tsunami struck the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia.In addition to the immediate assistance provided after the disaster, TSF reinforced the islands’ disaster response system by donating emergency telecom kits to local relief organisations and training them in their use.
