TSF & the European Commission train 66 International NGOs

Thanks to the funding provided by ECHO (the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department); Télécoms sans Frontières’ six month telecommunications and information technology training programme has recently come to an end. The programme, alongside over 100 emergency workers from numerous NGOs took place over three continents: Asia, South America, and for the very first time, Africa.

TSF support for the Red Cross emergency response operations

TSF was in Madrid from June 7th to 10th 2012. Our organisation was requested by the Vodafone Foundation to provide its technical expertise and experience in emergency telecommunications within the framework of a four-day training for the benefit of new Vodafone volunteers who were trained in the deployment of the Instant Network solution*.


   

TSF extends its commitment to the Swiss Cooperation


SNV36332 PhotoRedukto128In August 2011, TSF led a workshop on the emergency telecommunications in Cuzco (Peru), with 23 special agents of the GIAR (Rapid Intervention and Support Group) and various Swiss embassy officials in Latin America. In April 2012 in Ciudad Antigua (Guatemala), TSF has extended its commitment to the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development in Latin America, by conducting a second regional workshop for the benefit of 29 COSUDE's emergency responders. Representatives of organisations active in Central and Latin America attended the 3-day training.


 

TSF is expanding its reinforcement programme of Haiti's DRS
