Beyond emergencies, Télécoms Sans Frontières is involved in long term prevention and development projects that optimise the disaster response system of local associations and communities in the most vulnerable and isolated areas. Within the framework of a two-year collaboration agreement, Télécoms Sans Frontières deployed a team on 8th November to Port-au-Prince to begin a reinforcement program of the capacities of the National Association of the Scouts of Haiti (NASH) in emergency telecommunications. Allan Sebastian, project coordinator during this mission, presented the preparation and the investment of TSF in efficient response mechanisms at national and regional levels to reduce the impact of humanitarian catastrophes.
